Slayed by Ten
Slayed by Ten started as a small home based business which has now grown into a retail and online fashion boutique created by self-taught seamstress, Taneka Clarke-Powell, who is based in Toronto Canada. The company has been in business for four years. In addition to having a recognizable presence on social media @slayedbyten on Instagram and @shop.slayedbyten we have a physical location on 85 dynamic drive in Toronto Canada.
We create a variety of pieces ranging from custom made dresses to jumpsuits. We know that shopping online can be crazy and sometimes create a disappointing feeling when the anticipated ordered item doesn’t fit properly, this has created a fear online shopping for clothes which is why we have a customized size chart that is all inclusive hence catering for clients in all sizes.
In 2019 we had an amazing opportunity to showcase some our amazing pieces at the Paris fashion week. This was a great opportunity for us as we interacted with well-known designers, directors and distributors from all over the world. Our pieces were also featured in different magazines and articles such as Fashion Maniac, Resident Publications and Fashion Magazine 24. The Paris fashion week gave us a new insight into the world of design and fueled our creativity and passion to keep creating unique pieces.
Among our featured pieces was this silver rhinestone, spaghetti strap dress with crystal embroidery on it in various patterns, hand-made to perfection accompanied by a ostrich feather scarf.
Another showcased master piece was this black laced see-through three piece lingerie made with flower patterns and crystal details for our bold and beautiful ladies.
This next piece is a see through floor length silver one-sleeved dress that is perfect for informal occasions such as parties and weddings.
The 8 pieces we showcased at the fashion show put us on the map in the fashion industry, it was an amazing opportunity and a dream come true for a small seamstress from Ontario Canada.

The prices for the items are clearly indicated for easy shopping depending on the amount you want to spend, our items are priced from as low as $15 while still maintaining quality and design, we also have seasonal sales available. Our collection includes dresses, tops, skirts, corsets, pants, shorts, bodysuits and two piece sets.
Due to the ongoing pandemic we value our clients and your safety and well-being come first which is why we have expanded our collection to include classy masks that are up to the required standard and classy so they go with your desired outfit.
Not being able to find what you want on our website isn’t a problem as we have a section that is purely designed and dedicated for your custom needs, you want something custom made for prom, want a custom dress or want a unique bridal gown for your dream day? All you have to do is fill in the specific inquiry form and we will work to ensure that your desired piece is made to your required perfection. Orders take two to three business days with the exception of weekends to be processed and there is an option to exchange an item for a different size if the ordered one doesn’t fit.
We have made great strides in the short four year period since our launch and have plans to continue growing and expanding in the United States of America and have already serviced clients from all over the World.
